July Stamp Class

My last couple of stamp classes have featured cards that were a bit more on the girly side with reds and pinks.  Although I wouldn't necessarily classify any of the cards from the July Stamp Class as masculine they are not as girly as the ones I've done for past classes.

The idea for the first card was pretty much copied from another blog, but sadly I can't find the link to give the original artist credit. I thought I had bookmarked it but apparently I didn't.  Sorry!!

The 2nd card was my own idea and was designed with the specific purpose of giving one of my friends, a new stamper,  a chance to see the Stampin' Pastels and Blender Pens in action.

The third card was inspired by My Favorite Things and used her tutorial for the distressed flower.

I will close with a teaser that my August Stamp Class will be AWESOME!  The theme? "Not the average card"  This class might just include the tri-shutter card!!  Dates will be announced soon so watch for an email from me! (If you would like to be on my mailing list just email me at anglouise@gmail.com). The class will be limited to 8 people.  Multiple sessions will be offered if demand is high.  Until then, Happy Stamping!

2009-2010 New Catalog Open House

Last week I held my first open house to celebrate the new 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.  In addition to having catalogs available to puruse and buy I also had some of my old craft stuff for sale and had munchies and make-and-takes for all who attended.

The make-and-takes were simple enough for most to make without a lot of direction, but still cute.  I got my inspiration for the design from Kim at Stampin' in the Rain. She used designer papers for the squares, but since my new designer papers have not yet arrived I decided to use stamps to create my own.

Last week I helped a friend make invitations for her daughter's first birthday party!  They turned out so cute.  I don't have an exact card "recipe" because some of the supplies were my friend's but hopefully you enjoy the design!

New Toys!

A few days ago I FINALLY receieved my pre-order goodies and the new Stampin' Up! 2009-2010 Catalog.  The Catalog has so many great new items!  Two of my favorite new items were things I was able to preorder: the Circle Circus stamp set, and the Modern Label Punch.  I haven't had much time to play, but I did sit down one afternoon to make this quick and easy card.

June Stamp Class

I know this post is a bit late but I still wanted to share the projects that we made at my last stamp class on June 15.  This was, by far, my biggest workshop/class yet.  I had four tables of four set up and only a couple of empty seats!  I raffled off hostess benefits and the woman who won really hit the jackpot because of last month's hostess bonus promotion.  She was a new stamper and because of the great benefits I was able to set her up with a fantastic kit to get started. Anyhow, here are the projects we made at the workshop.  I hope you enjoy them!
